Perham Living receives highest rating from US News & Report

U.S. News & World Report has designated Perham Living as a five-star nursing home, selecting it as one of the nation’s top facilities for 2016-17.  The reporting agency evaluated nearly 16,000 nursing homes across the country for the quality of care and quality of life provided to its residents.

The five-star rating is based on the skilled nursing facility’s performance over time with a strong emphasis on medical quality measures and other data collected by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The data looks at staffing levels, therapy services, health inspection results, and quality measures.  Perham Living is also rated five out of five stars overall on the CMS quality rating system.

“We are extremely proud to be named to this year’s list of top nursing homes in the country,” said Tracy Hendrickx, Vice President of Long Term Care. “This recognition is a demonstration of the incredible care provided by our frontline staff each and every day.  Their commitment to our residents and their families are the key to making Perham Living a great place to live and work.”

Both the CMS Five-Star Quality Rating System and the U.S. News and World Report rating systems are intended to provide consumers with objective tools allowing them the opportunity to make informed decisions regarding their healthcare.
