Just for Women October 17

Perham Health will host its annual Just for Women event on Tuesday, October 17. The event is free and features experts on a variety of topics specific to women’s health and will take place from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Perham High School, 200 5th Street Southeast.

The evening will feature over 40 educational booths, health screenings, flu shots, and presentations.  Topics include breast health, foot and dental care, hearing services, heart attack and stroke awareness and prevention, obstetric services, osteoporosis and posture, hypertension, and mental health services, to name just a few. Relax with a massage offered by Perham Health massage therapists. Refreshments will be served. This all occurs from 5-6:30 p.m.

At 6:30 p.m., Heidi Saarinen, nurse practitioner with Sanford Health’s sleep center, will present in the auditorium. Then, at 7 p.m. Lanelle Vasichek will take the stage. An author and speaker, Lanelle believes there is a reason to celebrate the ordinary, each and every day. She is gifted at grabbing the best-day-ever moments hidden along the journey of life. Her high energy and entertaining presentation will remind us of the importance of recognizing the crazy-goodness that happens in our lives that continuously shape who we are.
