  2. Once your application is reviewed, you will be invited to an orientation
  3. At new volunteer orientation, we will:
    • Discuss organization standard of care policies
    • Conduct a Department of Human Services background check
    • Conduct Tuberculosis testing
    • Verify immunizations:
      • Flu shot (during flu season)
      • Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR)
      • Varicella (Chicken Pox)
      • Hepatitis B

  5. Tour facility

We like to see our volunteers commit to one, two to four-hour shift a week. However, we understand busy schedules and appreciate any amount of time. We will work with you to find the right assignment to fit your schedule.

Not a problem. We think it is great you want to take time out of your busy schedule to make a difference in lives of our patients, residents, families, and visitors. Be sure to mark your availability as seasonal on your application and we can discuss the opportunities that are available to fit your schedule.

When you have vacation plans or determine a short leave of absence is needed, we appreciate advanced notices so we can plan accordingly.
