Perham, MN – Perham Health will host its annual Just for Women event on Tuesday, October 16, from 5:00 to 8:00 at Perham High School, 800 Coney Street West. The event is free and features experts on a variety of topics specific to women of all ages.

The evening will include more than 40 exhibits on topics related to women’s health including vision and hearing, OB services, breast health, osteoporosis, heart attack and stroke awareness and prevention, breastfeeding, and urinary incontinence to name just a few. Flu shots will be available. Perham Health massage therapists will be on hand to offer a few moments of relaxation with chair massage. Refreshments  will be available during this time as well.

  • 7:00 p.m. | Guest speaker, Lucie Amundsen, a writer, marketer, and reluctant farmer. Lucie is the author of the award-winning non-fiction book, Locally Laid, about the family’s pratfall into farming and the stressed economics of Middle Agriculture. Lucie and her husband co-own Locally Laid Egg Company, a farm the provides pasture-raised eggs in Northern Minnesota.

Guest are encouraged to bring a home water sample for onsite testing by the East Otter Tail Soil and Water Conservation District.
