Perham Health is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2017 Healthcare Career Educational Scholarship. Each recipient will receive a $1000 scholarship to assist them in pursuing their degree in a healthcare related field. The scholarship program is intended to encourage people to enter or advance themselves in a healthcare career, and is awarded to high school seniors or post-secondary students residing in the Perham Health service area.

Congratulations to this year’s recipients:

Brooklyn Koetke – Perham High School. Brooklyn will attend Gustavus Adolphus to pursue a career as a registered nurse. Her parents are Joel and Teresa Koetke.
Abigail Sweere – Homeschool. Abigail plans to pursue psychology and occupational therapy at the University of Northwestern – St. Paul. Her parents are Paul and Penny Sweere.
Cody Lake – Cody is currently enrolled at MState Wadena in the registered nurse program. His parents are Darwin and Becky Lake.
Madison Peichel – Perham High School. Madison will attend North Dakota State University in the registered nurse program. Her parents are Shawn and Sarah Peichel.
Leah Weber – Leah attends North Dakota State University where she is enrolled in the registered nurse program. Her parents are Darren and Eileen Weber.

In addition, the Sanford Health Network Scholarship which is funded in part by Sanford Health and by a network sponsoring facility, in this instance Perham Health, awards a $2,000 scholarship to provide financial support to someone who has decided to make healthcare their career. Perham Health is happy to announce Ashley Schultz is the recipient of the Sanford Health Network Scholarship. Ashley is attending the University of North Dakota where she is enrolled in the physician’s assistant program.

Perham Health is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital with three primary care clinics, a 96-bed nursing home, home care agency, adult day services, memory care assisted living, and senior housing.
