Perham Living has confirmed positive COVID-19 cases within its nursing home. The senior living facility is working with local health entities to contain the spread of the virus.
“For all of us here at Perham Living, providing the best possible care and protecting the health and wellness of residents and staff is of highest priority,” said Tracy Hendrickx, Vice-President of Long-Term Care. “We initiated aggressive proactive infection control measures and screening procedures which we believe will help us manage this as effectively as possible. We are working collaboratively with the Minnesota Department of Health, Otter Tail County Public Health, and Perham Health, and following the recommended guidance from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention. Our dedicated professional caregivers are working tirelessly to prevent serious illnesses and provide compassionate support. We are taking all appropriate measures and doing everything possible to protect the health and wellness of all who live and work here.”
Hendrickx reminds the community, “We all have an important role in preventing the spread of the virus. Collectively, if we mask, wash or sanitize our hands multiple times throughout the day, physical distance at least six feet, and stay home when we don’t feel well, we can slow the spread,” she added.
