Perham Health announced that effective 3 p.m. today, March 19, it is restricting all visitors until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The entire Perham Health system – including Perham Living which implemented visitor restrictions earlier this week – will not allow visitors as a step to further provide a safe environment for its patients, residents, and employees.

“We are monitoring the rapidly changing events related to COVID-19,” stated Perham Health CEO, Chuck Hofius. “To date, there have been no cases of the virus in the community. As situations change, we need to react to make sure we are doing all we can to keep our patients in the hospital, residents in the nursing home, and our 600 plus employees safe. Implementing the visitor restrictions was just the next step.”

Perham Health continues to work closely with health officials – including the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Minnesota Department of Health, and Sanford Health – to monitor and evaluate this situation.
