The following content is a year-end letter from our CEO, Chuck Hofius.

Twenty twenty-three has been a remarkable year for Perham Health, marked by significant growth, the introduction of new services, and a commitment to meeting the evolving healthcare needs of our community. As we reflect on the past year and look ahead, we are excited about the positive changes and improvements that have taken place.
One of our key initiatives this year was addressing the expressed need for more healthcare providers within our community. In response to your feedback, we welcomed eight new members to our medical team in 2023, a record-breaking achievement for us. This diverse group includes four family medicine doctors – two with OB – a mental health professional, and experts in emergency medicine and oncology. This influx of talent has significantly enhanced our patient access, providing you with more choices for personalized care.
While embracing new additions, we bid farewell to two long-term medical staff members, Dr. Rand Stolee in general surgery and Dr. Tom Seaworth in family medicine. Their years of dedicated service, knowledge, skill, and compassion have left a lasting impact on our community.
Responding to your preference for local healthcare options, we introduced several new services in 2023, including a partnership with Sanford Health to establish a branch of the Roger Maris Cancer Center, a pain management clinic offering weekly pain injections, and aquatic therapy at the Perham Area Community Center. Additionally, we now offer mobile PET scans, vascular ultrasound, and PICC line installations locally.
Recognizing the importance of preventative care, Perham Living introduced the Elevate program, a community-focused initiative designed to support individuals well before they require health services. This program collaborates with various community organizations, emphasizing social enrichment, education, volunteerism, flexible work, and access to diverse community services.
As we continue to grow, we are eager to involve our community in shaping the future of healthcare. With a full-time orthopedic surgeon and more providers on the horizon, we are conducting a community health needs assessment to gather your insights. Your input is crucial, and we invite you to share your thoughts by completing this survey. We look forward to partnering with you as we embark on an exciting future together.
In closing, I extend heartfelt thanks to our community for the unwavering support we have received at Perham Health. Working with an exceptional team of dedicated medical professionals and support staff has been a blessing, and we are committed to serving you with excellence.

Wishing you a happy and healthy 2024 from all of us at Perham Health!
